Chaps

Has anyone replaced the plastic part of the sump guard with a piece of sheet metal? If so any tips or measurements?

Cheers

easier to get the mantec guard and they only use 4 bolts to fit plus much thicker guard, 8mm thick

I have a friend who got me some alloy just took the plastic bit off and added a bit to the front to bend up and a bit to the back marked out the brackets and with an angle grinder, bench vice and some "gentle persuasion" a couple of hours later a decent sump guard, not as good as the mantec as only 5mm thick but for only a couple of hours work not £???!
